The festival season is about to change – forever. Forget
what has gone before, 2005 will see dance music take
centre stage once again as Godskitchen take a bold step
forward in event production, to create one of the most
extraordinary events in the UK.
2004 saw over 40,000 dedicated festival goers descend on
Long Marston Airfield in Stratford Upon Avon for one of
the most successful dance events in UK history. With
plaudits across the board from clubbers, DJs, industry
and media, its success was never going to go
unnoticed.Now with the support of BBC Radio 1, as
exclusive radio partner, the Birmingham based promoters
can confirm that Global Gathering 2005 will be a 2-day
event with camping facilities on Friday and Saturday
night - a first for any dance event in the UK.
The event starts on Friday 29th July at Long Marston
Airfield, when Pete Tong will host his world famous
Essential Selection, with a plethora of star guests live
from the Stratford site. The Friday will also host an
additional 4 arenas of live acts and DJS.
With such a strong Saturday formula Godskitchen have
decided to extend the experience and offer an
alternative selection of artists on the Friday. Whilst
remaining in the realm of dance music, GlobalGathering
will be inviting some of the industry’s most revered
live acts to join them for the Friday night show and
help create one of the most diverse musical programmes
of any UK event.
Part II of the weekend gets underway on Saturday 30th
July between 2pm – 6am with a host of theatrical and
elaborate attractions and the world’s crème de la crème
of DJ talent. As one of the most spectacular events last
year, Godskitchen will be pulling out all the stops to
ensure 2005 is a truly phenomenal experience.
After 4 years of unmatched success, with an event that
is truly unique, the association with Radio 1 is the
final stamp of approval on the clubbers festival of
choice. 2005 will tread where no other dance brand has
dared to tread ……
Weekend tickets will be available with camping
facilities included in the 2-day ticket price. A small
number of Earlybird weekend tickets will be available
via the website from March 11th. Limited individual day
tickets will also be on sale.
The line up for Global Gathering will be released live
by Pete Tong during his Essential Selection on April
1st.
